The solid food stage! You have finally graduated!
This stage comes around your 3 month post op mark
You can now add tougher meats as tolerated and crunchy foods. This is where you will start to find what works for you and adjust how you will eat to lose the remaining weight and then move into your weight maintenance.
examples of things you can add back into your diet at this stage are:
- tougher meats
- dried fruit
- un-toasted bread
- rice or pasta (recommend brown rice and whole wheat pasta)
- fibrous foods (asparagus, rhubarb, broccoli, celery)
- skins of fruits and vegetables (apple, pears, potatoes)
- and large pieces of foods
- always eat your protein first!
- Eat slowly and mindfully
- Chew thoroughly
- Don’t drink for at least 30 minutes after eating!
