Week 12 or – 3 month update! Tummy Tuck

Finally the 3 month update!

So there has been a lot going on.

The scars are starting to fade, I can still to this day, feel pulling in my upper abs and in my lower ab right by my right incision.

I have ran my first 5k since the tuck and I must say I did way better than I had expected it would turn out.

Running on the treadmill at 3mph and 3.5 mph is not that bad, but as soon as I up it to 4mph it still bothers me a lot. So what I end up doing is reverting back to my abdominal binder for that period while I am running and it just feels so much better having everything tucked in and away.

Dr. M was happy with the results and how my incisions have healed. I am cleared to go back to normal exercise. I asked him when I am able to re pierce my navel, and he said to wait until I hit my 6 month mark. I am so excited!

I have re-gained 5lbs since our cruise in April and have not been able to shed them. I have started the strength though and it might just be “some new muscle” and some water weight, because I have noticed I am a bit dehydrated. STILL!

I have asked about inner thigh lift (needed but he refuses to do them because they do not heal well). My Chest area…. Them Boobies! Ha ha. I refer to them as tennis balls in tube socks. I went from a 44F down to a 32 D at the moment. He said he can almost 100% guarantee, that I would NOT be happy with a lift alone. I would need implants as well.

Cost: On base outrageous!

Off Base: Have not researched yet, but I am pretty sure out of the question for at least a few years until I have saved enough. I might change my mind. They look pretty good in a bra!

I have started at home exercises for my buttocks and inner thighs.

So here is what I am doing 3x a week (or at least TRY)

  • ┬ástep ups on my coffee table off all things! I do 3 sets of 10, alternating legs

  • ┬áSumo Squats, 3 sets of 10

  • Donkey Kicks, 3 sets of 10 alternating legs

  • Laying Side leg lift, 3 sets of 10 alternating legs

  • Butt Bridges, 3 sets holding for 10-15 seconds each

and last but not least: The STOMACH VACUUM. This one I do several times throughout the day, every day to work them muscles!

My actual appointment is not until June 5th, but I wanted to go ahead and post this now, to kinda let everyone know what I have been doing.
